You’ve gotta admit that the illegal knee by Yan, and “The Paper Champ” Sterling winning the rematch is one of the craziest storylines in UFC history. I’m sure it’s helped the BW division gain more attention.

No it's not lol. BW is dead with Ajo as a champion especially with some controversy win and his personality. Less view less PPV less exciting when Yan is off the title reign tbh. The number tell it that. If you look back in the division maybe BW is the worst maybe as well as LHW.

I felt Yan did enough to squeak out the win, Aljo was so dominant in those 2 rounds but Yan's ground game being sufficient to survive was impressive and drained Aljo's battery. It's not a robbery or anything, but it seemed clear that Aljo was done by round 5 while Yan could've kept smashing him. Something happened with a strike that distracted Yan going into one of the major take downs, he reacted almost like he thought he'd been eye poked or something and lost focus, but the camera didn't get a good angle. It didn't look sharp enough to be a power shot. It definitely leaves Sean room to win, I'm not sure his game is varied enough but we'll see

Only way for it to be a draw is to give Yan R1 and give Aljo a 10-8 in R2. R1 was close but Aljo definitely edged it with his footwork and kicks from the outside. So we can’t give Yan R1. R2 could be argued a 10-7 with a combination of control time from the most dominant position, submission threats and ground and pound

If aljamain had better a jab or a good 1-2 he would be so much more dangerous, he is a big strong and long body for 135, he needs to step up his boxing skills, even if all he had was a solid popping jab, it would be better than what he does now, he carries his grappling mentality into his striking, he needs to be more quick in his movements and not lean his head in and again just develop better boxing, he could be very dangerous on the feet if he sharpened his hands.

I am rooting for him against Henry but I think that may be his downfall. He loops in and out of his overhands, and can even throw haymakers. He dips down similar to how Dom Cruz does, and that is what allowed Henry to catch him with that knee. I hope his team is drilling that. But they are an old school MMA team.

Стерлинг, арангутан, конечности длиннее в 2 раза. Петру по физиологии тела физически было в два раза тяжелее с ним биться и бороться, но он всё равно вытянул и победил. Технически разносторонний боец, крайне волевой, трудяга. Ян молодчина, так держать✋ Гордимся! Топи!

Да тоже пересмотрел натяжкой стерлинг, Петру по мне когда он контролировал в партере стерлинга не бил локтями, и когда полулежа Стерлинг под ним лежал Как Чендлер руками голову контролировая надо было по голове Бить жестко., и первый раунд все решил хотя на ничья чисто было.

Yan won 1st, 4th, and 5th. He did more damage standing up. Also did more damage on the ground. But I can see a 10-8 round in the 2nd when Aljo was threatening submissions. So it should be a 47-47 DRAW

I had Petr Yan ( R1,R4,R5) 47-47 Sterling (R2,R3). With Sterling winning R2, 10-8. I saw the judges' scorecards and 2 judges gave R1 to Sterling. Why???? That's stupid. Sterling was simply running away from Yan the whole time in R1. Yan was more aggressive, certainly had more octagon control and took more initiatives and definitely connected more in that round. On the other hand, Sterling hardly landed anything and was just running away. So, how on earth, could 2 judges give R1 to Sterling??

Sterling landed 19 significant strikes in round 1. Yan landed 13, and none of them were significant enough to overcome that deficit. As for aggression and octagon control, those are only factored in when everything else is DEAD even (with the exception of Texas). As for chastising Sterling for "running away" because he's circling away from a heavy puncher moving directly downstream towards him, give me a break.

Стерлинг классно выступил. Я пересмотрел 14 раз этот бой и я в конце концов увидел всю картину. Стерлинг креативно кидал удары, различные комбинации, но все они не особо заметны, но очень техничные.

За пояс так не бьются как он голова , так допустимо вести себя если пояс ты защищаешь . А оно еще ручку чето там подымало после , надеялось на что то ) В претендетском бою нужно делать больше чем чемп , много больше , если ты хочешь по очкам забрать пояс. @@DM-io8fb сам Петр говорил, что боялся еще раз запрещенный удар сделать и заряжался на один удар. Потому что из-за запрещенного удара, он был чуть аккуратней и ему это мешало раскрепоститься. Сам Петр это говорил. Так что все ровно сказалась эта колено после 1 боя, Петр во 2 бою осторожничал

Петя уж точно победил, так как Стерлинг убегал весь бой. Открою тайну удары от обороны вообще не защитываються, так как если оба бойца займут позицию убегания всего боя как это делал стерлинг то боя вообще не получиться.

Лично я увидел что Пётр попал под санкции, стерлинг ни чего не сделал кроме того что как прилипнуть и не отпускать. Весь Второй раунд так вообще, стерлинг лежал спиной на конвасе и ни хера не сделал больше. Борьбой это не назовёшь. Куда смотрят судьи.

У стерлинга 100 процентов была тактика,лучше пару раундов пролежать,и при этом не дать Яну его заложить.Знал что победу ему за это и отдадут,то что в сумме он больше яна продержал в захвате!!Вобщем Стерлин ,хитрожопое испуганное существо!!!

Мне показалось что Петр Ян в этом близком бою победил. Стерлинг безусловно выиграл 2-й и 3-й раунды, но Петр в остальных раундах доминировал больше.

Aljo so quick on the takedowns. That one in round 2 was instant. Take down to mount, to body triangle like instantly. He won't be able to start the takedown as easy against Sean because of us reach/length, but if he gets in there, it's gonna be hard to stop the take down. Can't wait for this weekend.

Ну и где тут победа Стерлинга? Весь бой в ноги бросался и ползал на коленях перед Петром. Да и первый раунд точно не за Стерлигом. Второй третий забрал, да и то как одеяло пролежал на Петре, а большого урона не нанёс. По раундом 3:2 в пользу Яна.

Seems Yan won 1, 4, 5. Not sure why everyone calls his loss to Omalley a "robbery", but no one talks about this one. It was basically the same situation. Yan won Round 2, Omalley won round 3, and it was just down to how you score the very close round 1. Don't think either could be considered a "robbery" regardless of which way you score round 1 in either fight, since they were both so close. Just unfortunate that Yan was on the losing side of each of them.

Да какой там зал. Тут до зала как до киева. Для зала нужно раза в 2 - 3 больше побед. Более того - не прерывную серию. Взять чемпионство и удерживать его, хотя бы 5 защит. Вот тогда и можно об этом лишь «думать». А так - пока безосновательно даже думать об этом. При всем уважении. Я болею за Яна. Но надо смотреть правде в глаза

Стерлинг выиграл по количеству ударов в первом раунде, Петя бил по воздуху в основном. Уже куча разборов в том числе на российском KZbin, где замедленном воспроизведении разобрали первый раунд и там отлично видно что его забрал стерлинг. Но умственно отсталые фанаты Петра продолжают стоять на своем: " Петя чемпион, он не проиграл ни одного боя, его просто ограбили!"🤦🤦🤦

Glad they changed the rules since jones vs miocic. Now if sterling wants to cruise to a victory with a few extra kicks and then armadillo the rest of the fight he will get kneed to the face. It’ll actually force him to actually participate in his fights.

This should have been a UD in my opinion. Sterling took the first 3 rounds. Round 1 was close but the landed kicks easily outweighed Yan's "octagon control". Yan needed to stop him or rack up some 10-8 rounds from that point forward which he clearly didnt do. Good fight though.

Всю первую половину первого раунда и концовку, забрал Стерлинг, да акцентированного урона мало, но он был более активен, много атаковал с дистанции и уж для победы в 1 раунде, явно сделал больше, чем Петр Ян (да, да ребят, именно Петр, а нё Пётр, как многие пишут). 2 и 3 100% за Стерлингом, во 2 раунде была полная доминация стороны Алджо, но 4 и 5 уходит Яну. P.s 10-9,10-9,10-9,9-10,9-10 за Алджо Стерлингом, но никак не победа Петра Яна.
