Nope. He fought Volk after Volk suffered a bad KO vs Islam. He fought Max after Max had just prepared his body to fight at 155 in the last fight. Neither one of those wins were all that credible for him when you put it into context. Right place, right time for Topuria. That little guy is gonna get hurt if he actually moves up to 155. He almost got KOd at 155 by an unranked fighter last time he was there.

@ You completely ignored everything I said and tried to dismiss it as "excuses." I've been involved in the sport much longer than you or anyone else in these comments. I know what I'm talking about. You'll just have to wait and see what happens to Topuria at 155. It's not going to be good. He can win MAYBE a few fights at 155 vs very specific opponents like Dan Hooker or Charles Oliveira. But that's literally it. He loses far more fights than he wins there. He's too little and not good enough. Max would wipe the floor with Topuria at 155. He's at a point in his career where he's more comfortable with less of a weight cut.

Clearly it was not a mistake, since Ilia choked out Bryce and won the fight LMAO. Ilia is not a boxer, despite his elite boxing skills. First and foremost he is Greco-Roman wrestler and a black belt in Jiu Jitsu, who can submit just about anyone on the ground. Clearly you are hating on the guy for no reason )))

Emmett is the harder hitter, but Topuria is the more skilled and precise hitter. his timing and placement are always his big weapons given that he has an ungodly power already. to make things short, Ilia knows how to use his power properly.
