Nate is sometimes his own worst enemy. He had Edwards staggered in the fifth, but rather than continue to go after him immediately, he show boats and dances, and in those few critical seconds, he could’ve finished him.

That slap cross combo is the definition of "the punch you don't see coming hurts the most", you can literally see Leon's wondering where that came from..

Big respect to Edwards , he stayed focused almost all the time , he respected Diaz even if Diaz disrespected him all the fight , but at the end for this good behaviour he gained even Diaz's respect

My favorite part about this fight is Diaz not taking it seriously but still defending very well on the ground, getting in Edwards head and making him emotional, and despite getting beat up the whole time still almost pulled off a last minute knockout

Nate has the best cardio in the business. If there was no timer and it was all about whoever gets knocked or taps out first loses, Nate would probably be on a 100 % winning streak.

I have so much respect for Nate that i know how great a fighter has to be to beat him..you have to be elite to take out a Diaz brother. Leon is that but he is just now getting some of that respect.

И все эти слова о скукате - это лишь стереотипы о Леоне Давайте поблагодарим его за то , что он выходит именно технично биться , а не устратвать дерьмо по типу Намаюнес в последнем бою . Leon's streak could have been ended with a 5th round upset after dominating the whole fight, poetic how that's what he did against Usman, essentially got dominated the whole fight after the first round then came back and ended it in the fifth, funny how in the trilogy fight he essentially dominated Kamaru the whole fight, defended 75% of this takedown attempts while landing 70+ % of his significant strikes, guess the altitude played part in the 2nd fight like Burns described.

Nate is one of the toughest, most aggressive UFC fighters ever... but this fight shows the clear difference between a brawler and a professional fighter... and Nate, despite all his training, has never been or become an actual, technically proficient fighter. That's also in great part what makes his fights so exciting and brutal, because he has no great defense, he takes a lot of hits, bleeds a lot and just keeps coming and still manages to sometimes upset fighters who are winning because they just don't have his kind of tenacity... but unfortunately, when he does fight a good, smart and fit fighter, he tends to get owned... badly. I'm happy to see that Edwards learned to have some respect for Nate in this fight, because he sure got cocky and overconfident towards the end and he found out he might be the better fighter, but definitely not the tougher fighter.
