I think he's my favourite too. Rambunctious, with a loutish gait, a highly unorthodox style, but wonderful talent, great heart, elite combat ability, and he did it all the way HE wanted to do it. Yep. I think he's top of the pile for me as well. Who's your two and three?

i don't know about cowboy, but Diaz, with what is left of his "brain" probably couldn't (even with written directions) walk to the store at the end of the street, buy one dr pepper, and return home with the CORRECT change AND the soda. He would probably be found days later, two states over, wandering with a plunger he bought at a garage sale, and threatening a tree ... (slapping and yelling at it)

I wasn’t big into UFC until Nate choked out Conor. It was so much fun going back & watching years & years worth of fights that I missed! It’s like when you start a show on Season 5 & get to binge watch the first 4 seasons lol..

Fighters dont fight to win anymore, they fight not to lose. So we get boring jab fights. I want to see crazy haymakers swinging and knees not this point scoring bs. Last 5 championship fights have not ended in a finish.

Interesting fight. Nate was crisp and accurate with his boxing but according to Joe, he only threw punches at 50% power. But Donald kept knocking Diaz down with some amazing kicks and he kneed him as well. I can't believe how many times Nate fell down from those kicks.

Nate has long been one of my favorites in the cage. But, this was Cerrone’s fight to lose. He never played to his strength, and needed up eating way too many punches.

Watched this fight live, always smiled at how underappreciated the Diaz brothers boxing was! As an avid boxer they fooled everybody. Nate may have some submissions but they were all due to his boxing.

This was my very first UFC fight. I was 18. I went to my friends dads house and there were random very attractive 35 yo women and a couple random dudes. My friends dad busted out the nice cognac and we all sat around and watched this fight and I was absolutely floored. I feel so lucky to have learned who Nate was in such a way. Ive been a big fan ever since.

The many 50% punches that land are more dangerous than the occasional 100% ones. "[..] and it's those 50% power punches that him and his brother love to throw that mix up the hundreds every now and then ... those punches land, y'know, and the punches that land are the most dangerous." He's not stating the obvious that a punch that lands is a dangerous punch; he's saying the less powerful punches tend to land more than the most powerful, and so are more dangerous in the end than the ones you would expect to be most dangerous. Imagine a baseball announcer saying: "It's those 50% swings that he does that mix up the hundreds every now and then ... and those swings connect more often, so in the end they are more effective."

Diaz was so damned fast. I couldn't figure out why cowboy didn't transition to ground and pound. He kept sweeping the legs but didn't have that dog in him to pounce. Great fight.

The problem with fighting a Diaz is: can you whoop his ass? Cowboy looked injured. And a Diaz will absorb more punishment than most can dish out.
