Years down the line, in a futuristic world, and UFC is still around... I hope they use that clip in some sort of video complication. I'm thinking "UFC's 50th year anniversary" a bunch of clips that display UFC best like some cheesy Iron Man party, and all the guests are watching the slides/powerpoint. And the clips is like a 30 second complication, before showing the title.

Max has surprising power he just doesn't swing for the fences with every punch. Dustin is a power striker and gets tired but never seems to lose that power. Dustin is one of the greatest fighters to ever enter the octagon in my opinion. He's fought the best of the best never backs Down and is always at the top of the MMA.

I agree, but to me he's part of a special community, of elite fighters that are so good- they're able to stay at the top. I don't think any lesser, I wonder how years down the line 10- 20? Fighters like Dustin would be remembered, perhaps people of that time would use current fighters as references or to watch, or perphaps they will view only champion fighters in the past... Or perhaps the information- being on the internet will be so accessible, that people of that time, will "get to it eventually" hmm.

This was kinda hard to watch in a way... It was an amazing fight, they went to war.. but i meant hard to watch as a fan of both fighters, it's like watching your 2 best friends go toe to toe... You want both to win, and both to come out victorious, but you dont want to see either take heavy damage, yet it HAS to happen.. what a good damn fight..!!

Dustin is both, stronger and more powerful. Max's "powers" are stamina and an iron chin. No power behind his punches. (He's still goated of course)

As awesome as Poirier vs Holloway 3 is going to be, I wish it was Poirier vs Topuria. I think that would be the best fight to welcome Topuria to 155, and for Dustin's retirement fight. Imagine Poirier beating Ilia. It might keep him from retiring. Still, Max vs Dustin 3 is a guaranteed banger, and I anxiously look forward to it. I hate to see either guy lose.

Max will get finished man. He barely took those big shots from Dustin this time. He's absorbed a lot more strikes since then especially from his 3rd fight with Volk. When you add up the KO from Ilia you can't expect his chin to hold up like it did here. It won't. He can't play it safe with Dustin, one of the best boxers in the sport. Dustin is going to find your chin one way or the other. Max is losing the bmf title come July and that's that.

@xchanchu I don't know, bro. Ilia is extremely hittable and Dustin has great power and precision. That's why I say it would be a good fight. I think people are overestimating Ilia's abilities. Power is his best attribute, but moving up a division is really going to test him. I definitely don't see him beating Islam.

@@jamesnm21 It'll be interesting to see. Max has gotten much better since this fight, and he won't be super depleted from a weight cut at 155. I want Max to win just because Dustin is retiring, so a win won't matter for his career. I want Max to go on a title run, but just like Ilia, I don't see Max beating Islam. We're in for some great fights regardless of the outcome.

@Mindless_Ape well, that's the thing. Max has demonstrated laser focus and more cautious and technical approaches in some of his more recent fights, but against Dustin that means he probably loses a decision. Dustin ends up landing the better shots if Max tries that.

Когда Топурия потряс Макса. он начал бить по корпусу, что бы опустить руки Макса. что бы добить его. А Порье когда потряс, просто продолжал бить по голове. Да, возможно Илья потряс его сильнее, но и сравнивая эти эпизоды можно заметить, что и тактические решения у Топурии были лучше.

And they also want to win. True big hearted eye of the tiger stuff from guys like this. No matter how big the payout they fight like it’s a 500 dollar check and they have to pay rent. before I only watched clips of the fight and thought Dustin dominated, but now watching the full fight, Max was right in there with him and landing good combos, they are both good boxers and know how to pace themselves in a fight, not punching with all their might on every punch or kick just landing bombs inbetween and conserving energy, good fight
