I agree, but to me he's part of a special community, of elite fighters that are so good- they're able to stay at the top. I don't think any lesser, I wonder how years down the line 10- 20? Fighters like Dustin would be remembered, perhaps people of that time would use current fighters as references or to watch, or perphaps they will view only champion fighters in the past... Max will get finished man. He barely took those big shots from Dustin this time. He's absorbed a lot more strikes since then especially from his 3rd fight with Volk. When you add up the KO from Ilia you can't expect his chin to hold up like it did here. It won't. He can't play it safe with Dustin, one of the best boxers in the sport. Dustin is going to find your chin one way or the other. Max is losing the bmf title come July and that's that.

@xchanchu I don't know, bro. Ilia is extremely hittable and Dustin has great power and precision. That's why I say it would be a good fight. I think people are overestimating Ilia's abilities. Power is his best attribute, but moving up a division is really going to test him. I definitely don't see him beating Islam.

I want Max to win just because Dustin is retiring, so a win won't matter for his career. I want Max to go on a title run, but just like Ilia, I don't see Max beating Islam. We're in for some great fights regardless of the outcome.

@Mindless_Ape well, that's the thing. Max has demonstrated laser focus and more cautious and technical approaches in some of his more recent fights, but against Dustin that means he probably loses a decision. Dustin ends up landing the better shots if Max tries that.
