I was expecting these videos to have Russian commentary so I never clicked on them, I have so many fights to watch back now Edit: Alright it’s been over 2 years and I still get the same replies so I’m gonna clear things up: 1) Yes, I prefer to watch these fights in English, it’s my native language, it’s what I’m most comfortable with. I have no issue with the Russian language 2) I would’ve ended up watching this fight even if it did have Russian commentary. The only reason I found out it has English commentary is because I caved in and decided to click on the video 3) Yes, I am a casual. I only watch fights on KZbin with fighters that I recognize. Also I already saw this fight years before so I wouldn’t have been missing out

God dude I love watching Whitaker fight. He’s got such a unique style and stance. He’s got such smooth boxing ability and his big looping punches are so odd but cool to watch. He’s not flat on his feet either, he’s always bouncing on his toes like a traditional boxer. It’s such a cool fighting style man. And the way he can just fire his kicks without sacrificing his guard is so impressive.

just had to rewatch this match, and i can def say, current izzy doesn't stay in pocket and use head movements and his long range anymore like this izzy, nowadays when he gets lounged at his just backs off and evade and doesn't try to stay in pocket and duke it out. his striking did get better regardless, but i need him to come back to this fearless staying in range style

not really. other than the knock down in the first which would’ve been a tko given more time, then the tko in the 2nd. the numbers are pretty even. izzy has never been one to “dominate” he just has clear technical victories over his opponents. the term “dominate” is used so loosely these days.
