The numbers I quoted probably aren't the exact amount but I actually went back and checked the amount over in round 3 and it was not at all 42.

Landing takedowns and doing absolutely nothing with them doesn't do anything. This was a CLEAR UD. People call every Adesnya fight that doesn't end in a KO "close", except when he's the one that loses. Then, it was nowhere near close.

well. arguable. i believe if this was their first fight Whittaker just flat out lost no matter what. Rob was out struck in all 5 rounds and Adesanya also threw more strikes in all 5 rounds individually. On top of that Israel had a higher land percentage in all rounds but 4. so he was attempting more, landing more and making his opponent miss more. Israel had exactly 20 more significant strikes. headshots both about equal. body Israel had almost double the lands and legs Israel had more than double the lands compared to Robert. so if the fight is super-close stats would lean towards Israel. also Israel looked more confident even if u hadnt seen the first fight u are right about rounds 1, 4, and 5. Israel clearly won round 3, there is no world in which a judge will score that for Rob. So Izzy clearly won rounds 1 and 3. Rob clearly won rounds 4 and 5. Round 2 was the difficult round. 2 judges gave round 2 to Izzy and 1 gave it to Robert but it could have gone either way really. R3 too close. the 49-46 judge prolli took molli before the fight cause he gave both rounds 4 and 5 to Izzy which is insane. so even if 2 judges gave Rob R3 rob still loses cause of the insane judge who scored 49-46. solid fight and i expect rob to be an underdog for the 3rd fight and win. he needs to get through Marvin first next week but on paper rob seems better than marv and he also added that new ground game improvements to his fight game so if he can keep it standing he should win. i wouldnt be surprised if he could also control marv

The punches didn't snap his head back. Izzy always leans back against an offensive strike to take the power away so looks like they're doing damage, but they really aren't. Rob's hardest punch was the hook he landed when exiting the clinch in the 4/5 round I believe. Izzy won the first 3. Fourth and Fifth are debatable but I believe Izzy just coasted through those rounds.

Only way to beat izzy is at his own game? So wrestling with izzy wouldn't work? Worked for Jan. Ankalaev could probably manage. Khazmat isn't beating izzy at his own game but he can if he can take the fight to the ground. Beating him at his own game just sounds dumb seeing as he is 1 of the best strikers the ufc has ever seen but his massive flaw is grappling. Whittaker could've won if he was more aggressive with his wrestling

@american5668 I meant that everyone who is currently active at 185 cannot take Izzy down, he has great takedown defense. At 205, that's different. Jan and others are just too big for Izzy to fend off. But Whittaker, cannonior, Duplex, Costa, Yoel, Marvin etc could Not and cannot take Izzy down. Khamzat is a different story at 185. He can take Izzy down. But Alex showed how to beat Izzy. Walk him down. Kick him and take his legs out which is what Izzy does to others. And land punches 👊 at the same time to keep Izzy guessing. There is a reason Izzy wants nothing to do with Alex, part 4. His fights with Alex are so intense, Competitive and hard to train for. I want to see them run it back a few more times. No one else at 185 stands a chance until Khamzat is active. Alex is 36 already. We need to milk 🥛 this rivalry before Alex drops off or cannot male that huge weight cut anymore.

Whittaker trying to outstrike him when he's already failed twice proves that he can't beat izzy at his own game. But he can beat him if he takes izzy somewhere he's not comfortable. This narrative that nobody can take izzy down is false. If those in the divisions above and below him can then with enough training Whittaker or really any 185er can. It's just nobody at 185 has that high lvl wrestling that you see at 170 and 205. And nobody is pulling off what Alex did. Nobody in that division has that power or reach or skill in striking. I think Whittaker stands a decent chance at winning, a lot of people thought he won that 2nd fight. But outstriking him? Nobody outside of 205 is doing that. Paulo is better off wrestling for 5 years rather than kickboxing for 5 years if he ever wants to beat izzy. Everyone's failure at 185 was because of striking with him. They needed high lvl wrestling like Glover or Khazmat
