The numbers I quoted probably aren't the exact amount but I actually went back and checked the amount over in round 3 and it was not at all 42.

Landing two good punches in a round where you're getting your legs cooked and you're scared to engage doesn't make a fight close. Landing takedowns and doing absolutely nothing with them doesn't do anything. This was a CLEAR UD. People call every Adesnya fight that doesn't end in a KO "close", except when he's the one that loses. Then, it was nowhere near close.

well. arguable. i believe if this was their first fight Whittaker just flat out lost no matter what. Rob was out struck in all 5 rounds and Adesanya also threw more strikes in all 5 rounds individually. On top of that Israel had a higher land percentage in all rounds but 4. so he was attempting more, landing more and making his opponent miss more. Israel had exactly 20 more significant strikes. headshots both about equal. body Israel had almost double the lands and legs Israel had more than double the lands compared to Robert. so if the fight is super-close stats would lean towards Israel. also Israel looked more confident even if u hadnt seen the first fight u are right about rounds 1, 4, and 5. Israel clearly won round 3, there is no world in which a judge will score that for Rob. So Izzy clearly won rounds 1 and 3. Rob clearly won rounds 4 and 5. Round 2 was the difficult round. 2 judges gave round 2 to Izzy and 1 gave it to Robert but it could have gone either way really. R3 too close. the 49-46 judge prolli took molli before the fight cause he gave both rounds 4 and 5 to Izzy which is insane. so even if 2 judges gave Rob R3 rob still loses cause of the insane judge who scored 49-46. solid fight and i expect rob to be an underdog for the 3rd fight and win. he needs to get through Marvin first next week but on paper rob seems better than marv and he also added that new ground game improvements to his fight game so if he can keep it standing he should win. i wouldnt be surprised if he could also control marv

The punches didn't snap his head back. Izzy always leans back against an offensive strike to take the power away so looks like they're doing damage, but they really aren't. Rob's hardest punch was the hook he landed when exiting the clinch in the 4/5 round I believe. Izzy won the first 3. Fourth and Fifth are debatable but I believe Izzy just coasted through those rounds.
