had less strikes landed rd 1/2 but in my opinion was doing the much bigger damage, harder shots no doubt might have won even vs a cheat if he didn't have that tendency to dip down to his side that JJ picked up and set up for the headkick, he had some holes in his standup that JJ and Miocic were able to exploit

Bot. 1) Dc had 7 thousand nanograms per dcl of test in the fight. But you ignore that and keep calling jon a “cheater”? Hypocrites 2) Jon was tested positive, but never was been caught on using steroids and there is a difference silly ass. He was been tested positive first time for cocaine which is not a ped/steroid At the 2 time he was been tested positive for turinabol that can be in ped but not in this case because Mclaren studies proved that such a miserable doze can’t be used on purpose and you can’t find such doze in any steroids. Its also proven that such doze didn’t effect on performance or helped train harder. 3rd time he was tested negative and then ufc made 4th test right after and he was tested positive again which tells that even such tests can often not even see something in your body. It was proven that turin was been in his body because of using unofficial medical viagras, and his testosterone was being fucked because of using them so many years. Even your usada proved him clean and innocent and changed the rule with turinabol and dose.

He was a boxer with great wrestling, it's becoming more and more of a trend nowadays. Topuria and Aspinall (although he's more of a BJJ guy but in the HW div he's considered a good wrestler) are the two best examples, although DC lacked the pure KO-power these guys have, he had great athleticsm (especially considering his size) and also was really explosive.

You have to remember too, Connor vs. Khabib was six, almost seven years ago. Jones vs. DC 2 was just a year before that so I would put that in the same "time frame". The Izzy vs. Poatan feud was good, though and probably the best/most recent one that comes to mind.

Just remember all of the DC love here was NON existent during the time of this rivalry. You even hear the crowd booing him for complaining about the eye poke. Everyone hated DC for challenging Jones and having the belt when Jones was out. Everyone called him the paper champ. DC said during this time he just took on the role as the villiwn. Ive always respected DC man. The most average looking guy in the room had the GOAT on his best game.

I was a huge fan of DC from the first time I saw him in his strikeforce debut. Back when he was Emelianegro lol. And hated Jones for longer than that. Seems like mostly dumber fans are the Jones lovers. Not all, but most. I will say, if they were even CLOSE in size/reach DC would have destroyed him 10 times out of 10. Jon would be an average fighter if not for his bizarrely long build

DC got pieced up. He had a few good moments but Jon completely controlled the pace, the octagon, was far more effective striking, finally setting up Cormier for the kill shot. A masterpiece by Jones. Cormier never really has a chance.

The most underrated part of Jone's as a fighter is his chin. He got caught with some hard shots from DC early, while Cormier was fresh, and didn't seem fazed in the slightest. The uppercut that knocked out his mouthpiece and the left hook that landed perfectly flush on the chin and it didnt even give Jones pause.

For this fight Jones was juiced to the grills, and only reason his suspension was 18 months was because he snitched on somebody else to usada. Also Jon tested positive before UFC 200 and his testosterone rations in 1st fight vs DC were very suspicious suggesting covering up of steroid usage. Plus oother guys had even less picograms than Jon and received severe punishments. And John with his brothers in NFL has access to some of the best designer steroids in the world.

Casuals saw DC doing decent the out this fight. Real fight fans saw Jones setting up that fight up high and DC responding low. The levels to this fight is astounding Down to Jon knowing to not engage with DC which would have put DC into a position he is familiar with but to spin him then go in from angle to discombobulate him to then using the cage as leverage to add the difficulty to DC getting up if it cane to that. Truly remarkable. This fight is not looked at enough in high regard of 2 absolute experts

Or, why Robelis Despagine, who has the longest reach ever (87 hinches) was mauled and fired of the UFC? Cormier had a reach disavantage against every opponent, yet he mangaed to beat them. How? Because you can negate the reach advantage using wrestling. In wrestling, a long body structure is a disavantage against a guy with shorter limbs; but, if Jones only has reach, how he managed to avoid being taking down by DC then?
