The UFC cutmen are the ones who told Romero to stay seated. He went to stand at the bell, but they didn't let him. They didn't show this when the fight was televised, and I only recently learned this from another video.

He shouldn’t have grabbed his gloves. He conveniently leaves that out when he tells that story. He grabbed Romero’s gloves which allowed him to hurt him in the first place. Tim is no victim here

Tim Kennedy quit the UFC after this fight because of all the dirty stalling tactics of Romero's corner. Fight should have been over before round 3 started. It gave Yoel an extra 30 seconds to recover. Not to mention if you look at the ending it was a punch right to the back of the head that really knocked Kennedy out at the end there. Kennedy said he lost his heart for the UFC after all this. Unfortunate. Kennedy is also a USA special forces operator and deserved better than this.
