Overeem was on his way to winning the UFC HW belt but he was so arrogant especially while on Steroids. Overeem never recovered from this loss. Overeem was champ on every organization he was in from Pride to Strikeforce to K1 but this loss is why he was never UFC Champ.

No just taking damage, conserving energy for the final round against the already exhausted opponent is a strategy. You just wait for the second half of the final round and just barrage the opponent with everything you have. That's how Silva won this one.

At one point Bigfoot was a dangerous HW, but I still can’t believe Alistair lost to him. This was the fight that humbled Alistair and started his slow transition to becoming a more respectful and technical fighter.

Reem has always been a weird case to me, a dude with dozens of brutal kos against him but doesnt seem to have any brain issues or major health problems, and he was able to keep fighting long into old age with good results.

@@АртёмРуаони все на химии в то время были. Тогда не было допинг тестов в ufc. Просто у него физуха адская. Чтоб ты понял не каждому дано обрастать мышцами как овериму под стероидами, это генетика. Я сам на стероидах - весь в мышцах, при том что делаю укол раз в неделю! Другие каждый день колятся не могут набрать мышц! Это генетика. Попробуй сам сесть на курс и начать активно тренить и ты поймешь о чем я. Опять же в драке мышцы не самое главное!

Seems like Joe Rogaine was expecting Overroid to win this one. Anytime Overroid goes to sleep during a match its a good thing. Good on BF for getting the job done. Edit 😂 It was all Herb Dean could do to keep BF from going after Overroid when he was down. 😂 Roid trash talked BF too much. I've never heard BF trash talk anyone. And the respect he showed towards Fedor just reinforces what a good guy BF really is. I hope life is well for him.

Later in his career Overeem could no longer take a good shot. That happens to a lot of fighters. You think about all the kickboxing fights, mma fights, all the sparring, and wrestling. it all drains your power bar. Same thing happened to Fedor, and Roy Jones Jr in boxing. Sometimes your body has just had enough taking punishment
